Watch Video >: Supporting Veterans and their Families in Intimate Relationships

  • What intimacy and relationship challenges do veterans face when returning home?
  • Why are there such limited opportunities to support them through their healing?
  • How can clinicians and somatic practitioners play a role in helping these wounded warriors?

Despite the needs of veterans to address issues that emerge as a result of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and medical injuries that have a real and direct effect on their intimate lives, support in that realm is often extremely limited, or completely unavailable. This is discouraging, considering that this support is fundamental to living a a satisfactory life. As a clinician or somatic practitioner, you can play a role in referring, supporting, and assisting with the needs of this population to make a real difference in their lives.

During this webinar, Dr. Kaye and Dr. Tepper describe some of the common situations, provide information and resources, and share experiences in supporting clients. Dr. Tepper also specifically highlights the release of his upcoming documentary, “Making Love After Making War: Supporting Intimate Relationships for Injured Veterans and their Families.”

Dr. Mitchell Tepper and the Wounded Warrior Project release “Making Love after Making War”

Greetings, I am Dr. Mitchell Tepper with the Sexual Health Network, Inc.

I promised to tell you about the amazing project I’m working on. So without further ado, here are the details.

I’m filming a documentary titled: “Making Love After Making War: Supporting Intimate Relationships for Injured Veterans and Their Families.” The film is a love cry for our wounded warriors who are often forced to face a silent war when they return home.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other medical injuries are the battle scars typically portrayed by the media. But what about the intimate trauma that’s often encountered? Making Love After Making War is a candid documentary that chronicles disabled vets’ triumph over their sexual battles.

Please contact me at on Twitter or Facebook so I can let you know how you can help our wounded warriors with making love after making war.

Stimulating you from the inside out,

Dr. Mitchell Tepper, Sexual Healer
